Master of Bible Theology

The Master of Bible and Theology trains you for advanced knowledge in the study, interpretation, and application of the Word of God. Employ analytical thinking and utilize basic disciplines and methodologies for independent study of Scripture for your ministry.

The Thesis option is especially designed for and usually limited to students who plan to continue graduate work in a Ph.D. doctoral program. In this option, you take two 3-hour courses of Thesis in the Elective Component of the degree plan. These two courses must be taken in two consecutive regular semesters (Fall-Spring or Spring-Fall, not available in Summer). This option must be approved by the Department of Bible and Theology during the semester prior to your first semester of thesis.

Additional Program Stipulations
  1. All full-time students are to include one General Biblical Studies course each semester until degree requirements have been satisfied.
  2. First-year students enrolled full-time are to include DES 1122 in their first semester schedule.
  3. First-year students are to enroll in activity physical education courses each of their first two semesters at SAGU. Exceptions will be granted only with the approval of the College Dean.
  4. Student will complete the capstone course either during the latter part of their junior year or within their senior year.
